We have a shiny new loot list! The link to the sheet is pinned in the Discord channel. The list contains everything I've recorded as handing out over the course of the game; if something is incorrect (for example, something has already been used, sold, or given away, and is therefore no longer in your PC's possession), please let me know ASAP.
(Addendum to this: if only some of a number of items has been used, but not all, please note it as "used#" (# is the sign for "number") and then your character name in the status column (N). For example, "used2 PCname", with no space between the "used" and the number - this is due to the conditional formatting for "used" alone. Once all the items have been disposed of, I'll alter the description to simply "used" (or lost, or sold), and the row will get greyed out and strikethrough, and remove calcs from weight and value.)
Going forward, I'll note what loot you get on this sheet. It also contains information on weight. ;) (You can ignore weights that don't round up to at least 0.5 lbs in the Total Weight column - for things that weigh a negligible amount alone, but are more significant together in groups, such as arrows or coins, please use the number for the highest total load of them that you have.)
If you're only taking a few of a number of the same item, write your characters name and then the number of items you're taking (For example, "PCnameX2, PCnameY3, PCnameZ1"). Please check that there are actually enough items left for you to claim any.
Because italics and bolding don't get saved in the archive, I have to identify and put the html tags for emphasis in myself (I don't have Dreamweaver or anything, I just code in Notepad++). So to make this easy for me, please use _underscores_ around whatever text you want emphasized, and asterisks around thoughts. Thank you! :)
BUT.
If mercy dwells in your heart, then by all that you hold holy, PLEASE put your emphasis underscores around all of the surrounding punctuation, including quotation marks and brackets. Example: _<"What was that?">_ (good) instead of <"_What was that_?"> (bad)
(Or, worst of all, " < What was that? > ", without the spaces, which makes the text vanish in the archives because it gets read as html. I realize that isn't about underscores, but it's pretty important!) /tangent
That way, I can do search-and-replace in the archives for [space]_ and _[space], and put everything in italics at once. If you don't do it, I have to go hunting for underscores, and replace them individually, since they're used for both beginning and ending italics. Since I only update the archives when I have spare time, this usually means I have hundreds of posts to go through.
Please, please, have mercy.
